It's official, while you may not be able to slide your old cartridges or disks in Nintendo's latest consul, you can still play some classic games on the Wii via download. Nintendo has announced an ever growing list of classic titles playable on the Wii.
My understanding is that using a points system (you buy a card with a certain number of points on it from your local EB Games or the like) online you purchase and download classic games.
Here are the (so far) annouced N64 titles:
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time
Mario Kart 64
Starfox 64
Super Mario 64
There's also a ton of titles from the NES, SNES and even Sega Genesis.
